In short, he helps businesses get their words right and their stories straight. And he leaves words like ‘solution’, ‘leverage’ and ‘deliverable’ in his wake. Jan has done that for PwC, RBS, UBS, HSBC, BT and the FCA, not to mention Freshfields, Hogan Lovells, Hay Group and Google. Before striking out on his own he was a creative director at the world’s biggest language consultancy, The Writer. And before that, he wrote and edited a hefty chunk of the Design Council’s words, from annual reports, speeches and web copy to a ghosted article in The Times for Kevin McCloud.
