Michael Gegg

Founder & Director

Michael is the founder of South Thames Marketing and is a highly analytical and results driven marketer. Before launching South Thames Marketing, Michael was the global head of marketing for Hay Group, a global management consulting firm. Prior to that he spent five and a half years as director of international marketing for Kenexa (now part of IBM), a company he joined following its acquisition of UK-based Psychometric Services, Ltd. (PSL). Michael has over 20 years’ experience in professional services, has led global teams and developed go-to-market strategies in countries throughout the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

Oliver Rueth

US Managing Director

Oliver leads our operations in the United States. He serves as a thought partner to leaders on strategy, organization and digital transformation; creating magic and thinking that helps our clients grow and make them famous. Prior to South Thames, Oliver was senior principal consultant at the management consulting firm Hay Group (today Korn Ferry). As US Market Leader, he led Hay Group’s Employee Engagement practice and served on the global management team, transforming how large enterprises plan and implement their employee engagement programs to ROI focused people strategies. Oliver sits on the advisory board of the  Engagement Agency, at the Enterprise Engagement Alliance, which advises organizations seeking to create new value out of the 50% or more of their yearly expenses – people.

Julie Cornes

Executive Assistant

Julie is our Executive Assistant and ensures the diaries are kept in check!  She has over 20 years Corporate experience supporting Board Level Executives and her career started in Investment Banking and Private Equity, followed by 11 years at a Global Recruitment Company.

Julie has a deep understanding of the internal workings of a professional services firm from both front & back office perspectives and she prides herself on being an exceptionally organised individual in all areas of her life. She thoroughly enjoys providing a high level of service to the individuals that she supports and enjoys the personal working relationships that this way of working cultivates.

Harriet Croxton

Account Director

With a background in sales prior to a career in marketing, Harriet is a very sales focused marketer who understands how marketing activity should drive revenue. Having worked in-house as a Marketing leader in the digital learning space for over ten years, she’s bought that experience to our clients in the learning and HCM space. Harriet has excellent experience in the development and implementation of marketing strategies, PR, website content, campaign development, content marketing and marketing analytics.

Warren Stokes

Marketing Automation Specialist

Warren has 7+ years of hands-on experience with all things marketing automation, technology and efficiency. Through his roles at Google, Cisco, IBM and Amazon Web Services, Warren has a unique insight into marketing operations and campaign creation processes. Warren has experience working with all of the leading marketing automation technologies including: Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, Acoustic (formerly Silverpop) and Hubspot and was recently named Marketo Champion for 2020. Warren supports our clients with building demand generation and technology strategies. He helps take the guess work out of campaign development and execution!

Kath Dawson

Digital Strategist

Kath is an experienced digital marketing strategist who has previously built up a successful digital marketing agency from 2 to 50 people over 12 years and is now very much enjoying the ability to work on projects that she finds fascinating. Her agency had to evolve throughout the fast pace of change that is digital marketing and she successfully navigated those challenges to continuously achieve results for her clients. Kath is particularly interested in the psychology of marketing and how people are persuaded to make decisions online. The ability to monitor behaviour and measure success using hard data means that brands can have more insight into the customer experience and therefore proactively improve that experience.

Jo Rogers

Senior Content Writer

Jo is a CIM qualified communications and marketing professional with more than 12 years’ experience in B2B marketing in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Her areas of expertise include content development and strategy, brand positioning, employer and personal branding, and public relations. She has actively been involved in the re-brand of three professional services businesses and is a strong advocate of social selling and the power of marketing though connecting, engaging, and educating audiences. Jo works collaboratively with non-marketers, believing marketing should be seamlessly integrated into the business, and activity closely aligned to business objectives.

Sarah has worked in the design industry for over 20 years. In 1998 she joined Corporate Edge to work on major brand and identity projects for key clients such as AXA, Gartmore, HMRC and VisitBritain. In 2007 she started LSD Design Limited and has continued to work on branding and identity projects for a wide range of professional services clients. These include global brand implementation for Hay Group, property marketing schemes for Ballymore and St James, high profile international developments in Montenegro and Istanbul and interactive corporate and social responsibility reports for BT and HPE.

Jen Stebbing

Media Communications Consultant

Jen is our media communications consultant who draws on a deep and varied experience helping organisations and leaders multiply their positive impact, engage stakeholders, and communicate clearly. Jen’s ability to define, agree and implement strategy while collaborating with stakeholders has been central to the success of her professional career. This includes five years working for The Queen at Buckingham Palace; three in the press office at Westminster Abbey; an editorial management role with the Evening Standard and Independent Newspaper group; a major events planning role at Sky News; helping to launch London’s first TV channel, LondonLive; and several years as a strategic communications consultant for several other high value projects and roles.

Valentina Moressa

Italian-born but a truly international soul, Valentina has been working in Public Relations for the past 15 years across industries, countries and languages. In her career she has worked for international law firms (Olswang, Katten, Osborne Clark among others), professional services organisations in the OD/HR management space and legal tech providers. Wherever she was in charge of PR, she championed social media as a must in the marketing and branding mix, even with reluctant lawyers. There is no aspect of the PR gamut that she hasn’t worked on and learnt from: media relations, reputation management, social media marketing, public speaking and media training, content marketing, leadership communications, digital PR, strategic communications and much more. Valentina has a passion (and track record) for press relations and strategic thinking. She loves making interesting people famous and help them manage their profile, on and off line.

Phil is co-owner of our partners Colour Me Social who are a team of social media experts, based in Brighton and London, that help professional services firms, of all sizes, to raise brand awareness, grow their social reach and drive increased web traffic. Phil has worked within social media, marketing and sales for over 12 years and has supported hundreds of clients across a huge variety of sectors both in B2B and B2C.

Imran Baig

Market Analyst

For over 15 years Imran has built and led marketing and product teams for professional services firms of all sizes. Most recently he headed up marketing at eTeki, a Florida-based HR Tech company, and prior to that contributed to the the growth of the IBM Smarter Workforce as a Market Offerings Manager and worked as an Industry Business Analyst at Deloitte. Imran supports our clients with strategic planning and competitor/industry intelligence.
